good afternoon, I'm in a situation that I hope nobody finds themselves into,
new jersey sent me a letter saying that they will suspend my drivers license over a unpaid ticket in Pennsylvania, I called PA DMV about it Pennsylvania tells me I have no open tickets with them better yet no tickets in records with them, they checked by my CDL, date of birth, full name etc etc, I asked them to send me something since as proof of that they said they cant because I have no records with them and all the supposed numbers(ticket #, reference locator etc) to track the ticket nj gave me to relay to PA DMV keep coming as invalid.
Went to nj DMV trying to figure it out NJ keeps claiming that theres a ticket in Pennsylvania and unless I show proof of payment or dismissal they will suspend my CDL.... so my situation is I'm going to get my CDL suspended over a made up ticket by nj unless a miracle happens...
what would you guys recommend me to do???
btw it has been a week of going back and forth with this nonsense and I cant figure out what to do.
ticket that doesnt exist

I would call roadlaw. They are good from what I hear. I never used them but they are friends with OOIDA and I believe free to call and ask a couple questions.

Reason for edit: No phone numbers -
the address, drivers license everything is correct on the letter, I went this morning in person and spent 3 hours trying to explain and even called the number that nj gave me to call Pennsylvania and even the person that picked up the phone number gave me the same answer " sir you have no violations in the state of Pennsylvania I cant send anything to nj dmv because theres nothing to send to nj about you"

Wow, what a hot mess. I'd probably consult an atty myself. Seems like you're chasing your tail. Sorry, man. Let us know how it turns out.

This reminds me of a story a friend told me. Similar situation he was sent a letter stating he had an unpaid ticket (which he never got). Not sure on the specifics but there was apparently another person in the city where he lived that had the same name and was the one who actually incurred the infraction. My friend was working out of the province on the date of the infraction so he had plane tickets, time cards and witnesses that he was 2,000km away on that date. It did get straightened out once he presented his evidence.

Maybe this https://www.attorneygeneral.gov/Consumers/Identity_Theft/ is a viable angle?
