Hey I know this thread is old , but I was curious if you were still with tidewater and how you feel about the company now. Also do you know how their %pay works? and how are the insurance benefits and stuff etc.

oh ok well she is ok to work for but she is sneekie and she loves a guilt trip tactic and just because you live in sav doesn't mean you can't work for other terminals such as jax , columbia, hell even fayetteville runs right through savannah all the time twt is good but if you can stay away from the sav terminal you will be happier and believe me i wouldn't knock her if it wasn't warranted i have knew her a long time don't let the pretty faces in the office get you in trouble i know they are good to look at but they are real snakes but as far as twt goes go for it just make sure you train with a guy who's intials are dc they will know who he is and demand him as your trainer the others there will get you hurt and the stuff they haul is nothing to play with trust me i pulled the worst they have and you need a good trainer or this stuff will get you KILLED good luck with i loved it there left for other reasons (medical)

Thanks a lot for the info , also since you worked their do you know how their %pay works? I am a completely new to this field and was told it was 25% of the load ,since its mostly really dangerous stuff do you know what that averages on a weekly or monthly basis in $ assuming you run at an average pace.

i'm ot sure if you will start at 25% or not i know top pay is 26.5% which is where i was basically you will receive 25% of the linehaul meaning what they charge without the insurance, fuel surcharge, and etc.. so ig they charge the customer $200 you get $50 so on and so forth this is the only waqy to get paid pulling a tank cause the miles are just not there like freight last i heard if you are willing to run and run hard you should clear about 1200 every pay period but i know some do way better and others do way worse but i would say 12-1800 is average and they don't pay weekly its the 15th and the last day of the month and it sucks sucks sucks they say you will get used to but you don't but if you can live with that they are great
