TikTok influencer, 21, killed during first solo skydive

um, apparently, no one told her where the rip cord is......and that's just kinda mean

 

a philosophy student at the University of Toronto, had opened her parachute too late during her dive.

Just....ya know, whatever. The story kinda writes itself

 

that reminds me of a very old and tasteless joke

 

One of my best friends in high school was a daredevil skydiver. He told me all the time he knew eventually he was gonna go, “splat“. He was one of the best out there but one day he was doing a swoop. Which is where they come in at an angle at a very high speed and skim the surface of the ground. Well he didn’t get it right and he hit the ground and went splat. Dead at 40 years. Thousands of jumps.

Me personally, I just don’t see any good reason to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. Now I might put a parachute on and jump out of a plane that was going to crash. But I’m not doing it for any other reason. Lol

I personally see no reason to even get into a perfectly good airplane. As B.A. Baracus would say:

"I ain't gettin' on no plane!"
