You mean Google maps and a road atlas? I don’t see how anyone can distinguish the truck routes from the truck restricted routes using just Google.

Anyone just using Google maps alone is asking for trouble. The road atlas may seem old school, but it’s still relevant, especially if all you have is Google maps. There is no way anyone can know the truck restricted routes and low clearance by just using Google. It will be too late. Sure, truck GPS devices are not perfect, but they certainly are safer to follow than Google maps alone. C’mon drivers. We should know better.

I have just used Google maps, been to more that 40 states in USA without any trouble yet. I will make sure that google isn’t routing through residential area via satellite view. And of course I know how to read road signs .

I think trucker path app now officially provides free truck routing, just compare with google maps

    Muskie Thanks this.
