Even tho ideally I'd like to find a Southeast Regional type gig, I'm gonna still consider OTR with one certain disqualifier. I will not pull for another carrier that is Forced Dispatched Canada. I know that will limit my options but I have my reasons and they are concrete. I am in Central Florida and left my first company on good terms after 10.5 months. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I also live in central Florida. South of Jacksonville.

After I get a few more months experience I'm thinking about going for a smaller company southeastern regional.

If I can't find something like that, then ill be trying to get into something where there's no north east runs lol

I do not care your "concrete reasons", they are none of my business. But try also to understand that if the only companies out there that actually want to hire you, go there, then what will you do?

I wish you well, I do hope you find something with-in your realm of thinking, especially being from Florida.

I once worked for a company based out of Richmond, VA.

Those boys would cry when they didn't get the miles over us guys. When they did cry, they were sent more times than they cared for up here. Then they still cried!!!:biggrin_2553:

    Come EACH winter?:biggrin_2551:

    They somehow never cried anymore:biggrin_25523:

I hear ya. Don't get me wrong, I won't cry about going up there. I just don't care for it much.

I'm trying to find something a little more close to home. (Regional)

If I complain about something and don't get as many miles then there's no one to blame but myself

Check into Calex. They are based out of Pa but they have runs to Fl. There is a thread on here about the company and form the sounds of it most drivers enjoy the lanes they run and get home regularly.
