Taking my break at a consignee in Rutland, VT. So far I've ran a load from Orlando to Jacksonville. Then Fernandina Beach to Charlotte. Then a Local Charlotte. Then dh down to Anderson, SC where I got this load up to Vermont. Spent 5 hrs at a Petro in Kingsland, GA waiting to get a Bald trailer tire switched with my spare. The truck had to go into the Charlotte shop for service. The trailer I'm under now I had to take to both the Charlotte terminal AND a trailer shop to get it right. So my first 6 days I've lost alot of my sleep time to shop BS. Got pretty good rest last night and should get good rest tonight. And I had quite the adventure last night. Tried to shut down in Northern VA around 21:00. ALL the truckstops and rest areas in N. VA, West Virginia, Maryland, and Southern PA were full. So I figured with about 800+ parking spots in the Carlisle area I should be ok right? Nope. Go to the Petro with almost 400 spots, all full. So I pull out and head for the Flying J and a few blocks up I catch something familiar out of my barely open eyes. Would you believe it was one of our terminals? Who knew. I sure didn't!
