If you believe that running a motor at 65 mph + with a load on the it at 1100 rpm ,100,000 km oil changes or what ever stupid number it is , well ...
Have fun ,they have you trained perfect , just slap a turbo 3000 on it and your golden .
I spend 200$ a month and do a oil change and run my motor a million miles + doing work you can't begin to understand .
But hey you save 200 bucks a month on oil ,well wait ,there's a oil sample and the oil you don't stop putting in all the time to take out of that . But you'll be lucky to hit 300,000 miles at 1100 rpms
The guys who you are talking with actually understand moters , gearing , liner fretting , ect . Not the bullcrap on the fancy radio.
If you actually wanted to learn ,talk to the guys that are not doing a infram every two years or buying new trucks . I know , that's a ridiculous thought .
Do what ever floats your boat .
Time to buy a new semitruck, but not sure what brand

The Turbo3000 doesn’t work and I’m aware of that. I don’t take what they say as gospel. I read more sources than just those I listed and I’m able to make informed judgments on products and practices.
As far as oil, I run oil samples every 25k and I don’t add oil between changes, it doesn’t use any. The oil samples at 50k oil change intervals are fine. I change the oil when the sample says so.
I do lug my motor down to as low as 975 based on the conditions. I don’t do that every time. Most of the downsped drive trains are 1050-1175 at cruise. They’re designed that way so that while cruising or under lower power demand you save fuel. Once you start adding engine load it will drop into direct to start performing work. You’re not at 1100 rpm all day at max engine load.
I don’t know many people doing inframes every two years. If so, every major fleet in the country would be performing rebuilds on their trucks before they trade them in and that’s not the case.
And, what’s so bad about new trucks? Drive them properly and do the proper maintenance intervals, and they’ll last.
I didn’t hear this stuff on the radio. I wanted to be more than a steering wheel holder and read stuff online. I didn’t have XM until 2 years ago.rank Thanks this. -

The manufacturers have plenty of information available and it’s not doing any harm. -

There is so much wrong with that whole deal , I honestly would not know where to start .
Yup and all the carriers trade them off at 300,000 +/- because the whole truck is junk . If your going have that program I argree , pass this poor piece of crap to who ever buys it .
My point is show company's that run trucks to a millon miles with these maintance programs .Dan.S, Zeviander, rank and 1 other person Thank this. -
Oh and a engine will make full torque wherever you program it to .
But enough of this .
If you have it figured out , go hard , it does not bother me.Zeviander, rank, Rubber duck kw and 1 other person Thank this. -
