Well just 10 days till I start school. I was out of town for two days this week and it really hit me is this the right thing to do. Well the next day I went to my present employers corporate offices and that confirmed it I'm done with the corporate world. Then I was on the highway on my way home I past some trucks and thought how grate that's going to be driving down the road for a living. I know it may sound weird but I love driving and going new places. I just love it!!! I currently drive a 26ft van body and just love it every day That I drive is a good day because I get to be on the road.

I am all set for school I went to the secretary of state and got my permit.
And today I went and redid my dot medical card. I could have got this stuff in school but they said if I get it before hand I can spend alot more time in a truck. Witch I think would be best. Well enough babbling I will keep you all posted.

    SNUGGS:

I have checked out halvor and they won't hire students unless they have 260 hours of road time and I'll fall about 100 hours short. I'm also filling out an ap for foster today. I just heard this weekend from a guy that sells foster there tires and he said that halvor bought foster. Hopfully foster won't change there hiring policy. GOOD LUCK

Halvor Lines is buying TLX . I believe Jeff Foster is owned by some investor group. It is kind of like the Swift of the North. Drive by their yard and see
    all the wrecked trucks.

Actually I see where Halvar trucks are now hauling timberline trailers and vice versa..I also talked to the lady recruiter at halvar..she told me as well that they want 240 hours of schooling to start there ..I guess I havent seen a school that gives you 240 hours..but what do I know ..I,m a FNG..:biggrin_25524:Most of the trucks of Jeff Fosters that I have seen have been pulling flat beds..Ive only seen a few vans. ...Snuggs
