What are some of the biggest changes you have seen over the years of driving? Also, what are changes that you may see in the upcoming years with the truck driving industry? Let me know what you know/think. Thanks guys!

I worry about the future of this biz.
    Really, I do.
This job can't be outsourced like a factory job, but that doesn't mean the government/big business/ATA (all conspiring together) can't bring cheap labor in.
Average age of truckers in this country is north of 50...the ATA has been/is/and will continue to push for illegals to get behind the wheel for 1/2 the rate.
Think about it for a second:
Lowered cost of transportation, plus all these illegals get on the payroll paying taxes to the states/federal government.
It's in everyone's interest...except American drivers...but nobody gives two hoots about us...never have and never will.
If drivers came together, we could halt their devious plot in its tracks.
I'm not promoting unions or Teamsters or anything like that...but we need some kind of voice to address the issues facing us now and in the future.
And not just a few knuckleheads running a convoy around the Capital Beltway...I'm talking everyone who drives truck for a living.
Of course, you'd have better odds of winning the Powerball before you saw anything like that happen.
Which is why I'm getting out...I see the writing on the wall...and it ain't in English.
