Use the longer bar and stand on the side of it instead of at the end of the bar, then you should be able to reach the clicker.

Great idea. I'll try it!

Good point. I like the idea of placing tension on the clicker before using the winch bar to loosen the strap. I'm trying to think of a way to do that, that is a safe. Do you have ideas?

I'm not sure what you mean. Will you clarify please? Thank you.

do some push-ups, after awhile you shouldn't have a problem lol

Wish I had some better ideas for you but I dont. I weigh #180 and put all my muscle and weight into it when tightening straps down on most things I haul. Your a lot smaller so I could see you having some issues.
I'm sure someone will come along soon with a tip that will actually help you.
Good luck.OLDSKOOLERnWV and crackerjack123 Thank this. -
See if the strap is straight, if not, hit the winch until it is, try loosening. that stupid millimeter makes a big difference. Also wetting the straps makem stretch helps. not advisable if you pay for straps.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll see if this works!

Thanks. When I secure my own loads I get the straps plenty tight and the load stays in place for the duration of the haul and I can loosen them when it's time to unload. I just have to be ready for those crazy tight straps. I worked with a dude that weighed 220 lbs last week with 5 years flatbedding experience. We ran across a strap that even he struggled to loosen and he never struggles. I'm sure I'll figure it out.OLDSKOOLERnWV and JonJon78 Thank this.
