    Good point. Same with the glad hands. Dont use the hose or spring to connect or disconnect, try to use the metal part of the glad hand. If you drop and hook a lot, you can put galvanized or brass pipe fittings to extend them and make them longer and easier to deal with. Also on the pig tail, if the trailer side is getting loose or what not, sometimes you can take it off and switch it around and put the trailer side on the tractor.

    Hose clamps of all sizes, cheap and pack small and will save you one day. Lengths of as many sizes of hose you can scrounge and hose inserts for each so you can extend or patch a hose on the fly. Spare fan belt, even an old one. Some provinces and states require spare bulbs, include in the electrical kit those crimp connectors with the heat shrink skirts on them, Grote makes some. Test light is also small cheap and very useful
