Guy came in with oil streaking down the inside frame from breather hose being broke right at that height. I tried reaching thru the bottom and unable to reach bolts or brackets. Tried the top of the engine and still unable to reach down there. Its like no mans land.
Just wondering if anyone here has replaced them?
Tips or tricks to replace breather hose on 2005 Freightliner Columbia 14L ?

Breather hose shouldn't leaking anything but a blow by hose would if compression is getting past rings or it's a oil burner

You can splice another piece onto the broken piece with a heater hose repair kit, but if he has oil coming out of the crankcase breather tube he has bigger problems than a broken hose.

Here is what I did. Removed driver side splash guard and turned wheel to right. It was a cinch afterward. The breather tube (the rubber side) was cracked and broken in three places. Tough job, but we got it done, son.
