It depends on which route your willing to take. If you're looking for a local job that requires 1-2 years experience, probably not a good chance, because you'll be required to tale a road test, and even if they bend the rules, they'll find out quickly if you're qualified.
The other option is to find a local job that has a trainging program. A lot of companies in foodservice, beverage delivery, and LTL have their own training programs, and are even recruiting from schools, but you have to pick your poison. Foodservice and beverage delivery is extremely physically demanding, LTL, not as much. So do you want to be home everynight and be completely tired or have lack of sleep because your putting in 14-16 hours a day, OR try to stick it out for a year OTR and have the option to look for other local jobs.FloydNasby, azheavyduty and zigstar Thank this. -

A lot of companies will hire you with school + 3 months, the school actually counts as a year of experience for insurance purposes. Most of the megas have regional setups that get you home weekly, and as mentioned above indeed and craigslist would be your best bet for narrowing it down.
zigstar Thanks this. -

A lot of places want 6 months, at least. Go check indeed and craigslist. Beware of the resume mills though, they'll take your name and shotgun blast it around and you'll be getting useless phone calls for months.
zigstar Thanks this.
