Tired of snow in the winter

Its time to buy your own truck if you want that kind of flexibility. I dont go above I-40 during the winter for the most part, but i choose my own loads of course. Its never snowed where I live but ive driven in it plenty. Not much fun, so i feel your pain, kinda.

 

I understand nobody can force you... it wasn't the best way to express myself... Mr. RetiredUSN understood what I was trying to say though... Nobody in my company expects any driver to drive if they feel unsafe, nobody in my company will threaten this or that or be nasty at any driver who decides to shutdown due to hazardous road and weather condition... They hire only safe professional drivers and they trust our judgment.
One other thing, my company does the best they can not to send drivers to bad winter storms locations. They follow the weather and always ask drivers where they are and how the weather is...

 

Since few years Maine and Quebec have longer and colder winter, i would move down south too if it was possible.

You may ran into winter storm in Tx and Ok but it doesn't last, up north were dealing with almost 6 months of cold....

 

LOL Yep, I was laughing all winter about the whining going on up there and I live in Montana..LOL

South East Carriers doesn't do the Northeast, ever. I don't drive for South East Carriers, but a few of their drivers post on here. They do lots of West Coast runs, but no Northeast.
Best to just pack up and move. I did it. We moved to Las Vegas after many hours of research for a city with good schools, neighborhoods, good year round weather. Yep, some fantastic neighborhoods in Las Vegas/Henderson. My family, neighbors, life long friends said,"what, are you crazy?" No, I just hate cold weather and had enough of it in my life. www.propertyvegas.com is where I found my nice new home in Seven Hills gated community. Summerlin area of Las Vegas is good also.
I'll admit, took a beating when I sold our house back East, but life only goes around one time, so I don't care about that.

 

According to all those that claim global warming is happening and the NYT 2015 is the last year that it will ever happen. So your in the clear in 5 months
