Actually I find your posts to be educational and informative and not in the least argumentative or combative or even trollish (?). But there are always one or two who do just that...

    Thank you .....

I WANT people to think ..... REMEMBER the CB rules are about 50 years old and some are at best out of date ... :biggrin_25513:

Why can't CBers use 500 hz wide digital ? Modes like PSK-31 would allow truckers to send data base to truck and truck to truck and allow many users on ONE CB channel at a time ......... Power is not needed for DIGITAL ... so 4 watts would work fine .....

    But this makes sence ....

And the FCC is a goverment agency .... :biggrin_25514:

Was not aware the original 460-470 UHF had a short range. How short? Shorter than the 11m band?

I remember when TV shows didn't have/weren't allowed cuss words in them. Now some of them say every word short of the F word or maybe the N word.

Isn't the FCC supposed to govern the use pf profanity over the airwaves?

What cracks me up is you people sound like broken records. We have heard it all before and no matter how many times you spout the same crap......it isn't gonna matter one bit. People are gonna do what they are gonna do reguardless. You think you are gonna change that? That is childish. How does the saying go? Something about the power to change things and the wisdom to know what to change? Anywho, your not changing a thing. In one ear and out the other....right....or wrong. And that is just the way things are.

We all do. I run a big radio, but stay on channels 1-40. Never really leaving 31 or 19. I like to be able to talk who I want to talk to though. I don't see how this is hurting anybody.

To sit there and tell me that you break no laws is a farse. We all do it. We break the laws that we don't agree with. I would venture to say that the powers that be have better things to do. As a Ham operator there are an unlimited amount of frequencies to pick from. Pick another. It is just that simple. You choose to make a stand over an insignificant issue at best. Get a life and move on. Hopefully to a cause with more significance. The thing with most Ham guys is, they are retired and have nothing else better to do than log onto a Trucker's forum and complaign about non-issues that fall on deaf ears. So where does that rank your kind in society?

Showing your ignorance of radio spectrum . Hams have very specific frequencies they are allowed to use, and it even varies in different parts of the world, and by country, so we must be very aware of where we operate.

    And no, I'm not retired!

Amateur radio operators think there a cut above and seem to think that they have earned something. Keep in my its a Amateur License. Don't get a big head over it.....

    I guess I don't fit the mold .....
I work in radio at a jail .... been doing Public safety for about 20 years radios for pushing 45 ......

The powers that be are all about DIGITAL RADIO and placing $$$ making things on radio sprectrum unless international laws don't allow it .........
So be careful about what you wish for ...... Goverment fixes problems by selling frequencys off .......... CB is not a international band ......
