You will need to get the speedo adjusted. -
why go lo pro? Won't you turn more RPM's? That would be more fuel.
-
You'll lose about 5mph on the top end, but gain a little on the hills.
-
The key is to get the revolutions per mile rate off the tire manufacturer data and have the ECM hooked up and change put that value in so your speedo will be accurate.
I assume you are doing this for lower rolling resistance. If you are wanting run the same speed, you will probably be defeating the purpose of the switch since you will be turning more RPM at the same speed. The only way to make it worth your while is to slow down a little to compensate. -
Got a better price, that's why, also i was told that if a tire blows on the road chances are shops will have low pros in stock most of the time than tall 24's. I dont know if this is true or not. Another thing is the clearance between the trailer and the truck, i do flatbed work so sometimes i am loaded over 50K# and when backing at almost 90 degrees i think my tires are catching the frame of the trailer.

I did the same thing 6 yrs ago and I have never regretted it. I also pull a flat, have 3.42's and it was just too much. I pull better now and even get better fuel mileage.
Cowpie is correct, get the revolutions per mile rate off the tire manufacturer data and have the ECM hooked up and change put that value in so your speedo will be accurate.
FET tax is based on the weight of the tire, so yes tall rubber cost more.HA-MTR Thanks this. -
What is the best tire for steers and drives on the market right now.
Is the new GoodYear G399 for steers any good. -
I just put a pair on two weeks ago, 11R22.5's. No obvious sign of wear, feel good on wet road, but then again they only have 5,000 miles on them.
