I'm on my second set of Kelly drives, I got close to 400k out of the last set, they wear good.
-
I had kelly KRM I on the front of my sterling straight truck in 315s. They were ok but short life span. My kw t800 tractor has the bf goodie 244 on it now and we have had pretty good luck with them. Ill look to see how many miles on them and post it !

I have never ran the Kellys, but I too was told they are basically the same as the Goodyears.
I just picked up a set of 395's for $825 mounted and balanced at my Goodyear dealer tho (not a truckstop) as they were on sale in January. This is my 1st set of GY tires, since I have always ran Bridgestones before but for the price I couldnt pass 'em up. If you go with the Kellys, then please keep an update to if they are good or not, I'd personally like to know. -
I was gonna buy 2 Kelly steers but with the national account program through OOIDA I got Bridgestone 287 steers for $20 less apiece than the Kellys. I think they are probably a good tire but I just have had pretty good luck with the Bridgestones so I went with
them. I did notice that it looked like Loves had pretty good prices on their tires considering an over the road type of purchase. -
You can get yokahama's, bridgestones, or kellys for cheap at the petro in knoxville, tn ex 369. I got $80 a tire for my old casings and with state sales tax, federal excise tax, mount labor, new aluminum valve stems, and all 10 tires balanced plus a 3 axle alignment for 10 new yoka's I paid $3250.00 out the door. A friend of mine is getting 8 drives there here in a few weeks all the same as me, new valve stems, balanced, alignment, taxes... $2850.00 out the door.. They're giving him $80 a tire on some michilin recaps that have been capped one time. Call their shop and ask for Renny the service manager then call the T/A shop at Lovell Road and let the pricewar begin lol

That was a similar deal we got on a set of Yokohama drives at the Petro in Shreveport. They didn't have em all in stock and had to run down the road to the TA to get us a full set LOL.

You could not pay me enough to buy another Kelly tire. I had a set on one of my trucks. Nine out of 10 had cracked sidewalls. Kelly would not stand behind their product. If a tire manufacturer won't stand behind their product then I won't spend my money with them. There are other brands that cost much less that will give as good or better service than Kelly.
-
Their isn't a tire dealer or a tire manufacture that will stand behind their product anymore. I ran Bridgestones but they are way over priced and then went to Michelin's but they are overpriced and had cracked sidewalls and they told me to go fly a kite so I will never buy any of their tires. Next I bought a set of Kelly drive tires and really like them. Never had any luck with BF Goodrich tires and marked them off my list. The last set of steers I bought was from Speedco in OKC and I bought Firestone's and the price was good and service plus Speedco gave me $40 more a tire trade in then the two dealers I talked to. Goodyear rep told me that Goodyear is doing away with the Kelly brand, just have to wait and see.
