I just put two new steer tires on today Continental 18 ply I don't play with my steer tires !!! But with the drives I don't need the big name brand with the big price I used Samson before and actually loved them talk to a few other people and they hate them By the way I got my steer tires from bandog in New Jersey 295 60R 22.5 great price 454 each was getting prices in the 600/700 so am happy with them let us know what tires to try thanks

I run recaps on my drives. I don't run the southern tier of states during the summer. I don't like the weather above 90 degrees.

FYI, when a recap peels off and hits the vehicle down in the belly of the trailer, you'll wish you put new tires on your drives.
RoadRanger^^, KANSAS TRANSIT, spyder7723 and 2 others Thank this. -

Check the rolling resistance with the cheap tires before you buy them. The fuel mileage you could loose will pay for the good tires in less than a year in many cases. America moves by truck.com has a rolling resistance chart or use Michelins tool box calculator to compare what you have vs what you plan to get. Full retail on the Michelin are about $600 but if you find a discount program they are much less. My steers XZA2 Energy 295/60R22.5 were only $350 installed at my company shop.
KANSAS TRANSIT and Terry270 Thank this. -
