So I just recently graduated and applied to work at TMC.They told me the application was denied because of a bunch of tickets I got in 2005 3 speeding tickets, seatbelt violation, and a passing violation which are all bogus.I have a copy of my driving record in front of me current as of Nov 14,2008 and It's squeaky clean.
I'm only 23 and I have a 7 year record and I started driving when I was 17.
She told me that if something isn't right then I need to take it up with the DMV then I retorted by saying it couldn't have been the DMV's fault because I have proof of that right in front of me that I could fax over to her,but she naturally declined to give me a fax number.
I spent like a half an hour arguing with the stubborn B*T&& saying that they must have made a mistake...but of course the company can never make any mistakes in all of their perfection, right?
I guess my question is what do I need to ask the DMV in order to see what they are seeing?.If there is something on my record that I don't even know is on there I want it either fixed or at least be aware of it so I can let my future companies know it's on there and not sound like a major jack #$$ when I argue with them about it.![]()

I'd find out if the info was taken from your MVR or from DAC. If they say it was from your MVR, obviously they made a mistake and pulled someone else's MVR by accident. If they say the info is from your DAC, you need to get a copy of it and then dispute the info that's incorrect.

Man what a story... I would surely go back to the DMV and recheck the MVR for you and try and see what happened. That is your first step and if all things are right call them back, (TMC) and see if they will run nother check. It could be they have the wrong MVR from your state.

Well I just got a copy of my driving record for 11 years(personal) and it's squeaky clean.TMC said 'I pointed out on my MVR' so I'm pretty sure it wasn't from my DAC,as I'm a recent graduate.I left a message asking her to fax me over a copy of the report that they had on me saying when the tickets were and no reply yet (been about two hours).
I'm thinking maybe if they can't get this little task right that they just aren't worth working for.But at the same time if there is something on my record that I don't know about or the DMV doesn't know about that I need to know to tell future employers...then I probably need to clear it up. -
I'm betting you won't hear back from them... but that's me. You can rest assured they is nothing on your record like what they said. They must have gotten you mixed up with someone else. I would just move on and look for another company.

At least they gave you reason.
It's good to know that when they don't, it's because there really isn't one. -
Well I got the fax from them today and they went through USIS.
It's a women's name with the same social security number, different date of birth, different drivers license.
-4 points versus my +4 pointsand it was as many tickets as the recruiter said it was...
so i'm guessing I probably have a case of the idiot office worker who punched in my drivers license number wrong.
But just to be sure I'm still going to check through the DMV the state police and the social security administration.Never hurt to be too safe.
But what I don't understand is they are still not going to consider hiring me because of what's on this record.
But if it was their fault, then they shouldn't even take this record into consideration in the first place, right?
Me I'm planning on moving on to work for Werner starting next week anyway.I just want to prove to them that it was an error on their part.Baack Thanks this. -
