I have both Werner and TMC asking me to come down this weekend. I like TMC's beautiful Peterbilt trucks and their hometime. I also like the Peterbilt trucks.
I hear flatbed haulin' is hard work. You don't have to lump freight at a Grocery warehouse, but you do have to tarp loads. How bad is that? I heard a recruiter say that if you want to see how you can handle it, grab 2 dog food bags (50LB) at Wal-Mart and walk around some. I grabbed one, in one arm and threw it on my shoulder. I was on the cellphone talking to a retired trucker/friend about trucking. I walked around and put it back. I figure if my left arm can do it, my right arm can as well.
Was that funny or stupid?
One nice thing about Werner is that the orientation is in Atlanta, just 3 hours away. Also, you don't have to tarp a dry van. If I was in Atlanta, I could hang with my uncle and stuff. Does Atlanta have pretty, historic Catholic churches? Or just ugly, modern ones?
