I have my CDL x endorsement (Tanker and Hazmat) going to get my TWIC and passport and I live in central TX. Which company should I start with TMC or Schnieder Bulk? I would like to net 700-750 per week. I don't need health insurance I have Tricare from the military. Ultimately my goal is to become an O/O and lease onto a company which allow me to earn the most amount of money and give me the most freedom. From what I have read so far I like the Choice program at Schnieder.

I know nothing about flatbed, but I make a good living pulling tanks. From everything I gather about Schneider, they are a good place to start,, but their pay is on the low side.

Between TMC and Schneider. .. I would go with Schneider because they have more options.. tanker, flatbed, van.... where TMC is strictly flatbedd

Have you looked at Maverick? They have flatbed, Glass, and temp control. They are a great company and you should have no issues making that kind of money, or more. And they have the MavIC division which is their lease operator options.

Tanker experience is good,,I own one and it was easy and tanks do not require much manual labor,,flats are good to because it gives you experience securing loads and sometimes you can get OS loads that pay more,,both are much better than Van or reefer freight,,generally you deal with much better people loading and unloading

Schneider Bulk would be my first choice.

Flat is good, I agree. Loved flatbedding when I did it, but make much more money pulling tankers, thousands more per year.
