Well I have been a trucker for about 30 years now and have hauled a little of everything I live in Florida and I started off working for TDT Trucking a couple of years ago which I have no complaints about then they sold out to TMC Trucking and since then it has been #### I was paying out of pocket for tolls scales hell even lumber for their loads! They tell you go buy oil for your truck we will reimburse you yea right you have to scan all your bills and they find some reason to reject them I claimed about 2,000 worth of expenses on my taxes that I was supposed to be repaid for I have had it for quite awhile with this company but like I said I had a couple of years in and figured once they got the hang of things everything would change! yea freaking right I got sent to pick up a load of steel I told my dispatch I don't have steel tarps on my trailer cause my trailer is at the shop and theres none of this one so guess what ### hole tells me to get the load anyways so I pick up the load and smoked taped it so I deliver it and they signed and didn't say it was damaged or anything well I get a call from safety saying the steel got wet my reply was no #### I told y'all I didn't have steel tarps he said why did you pick the load up if you didn't have them I asked why they sent the load to me knowing I don't have them. These people are freaking crazy they have probably never stepped foot in a truck much less drove.... I get a call about idling in the winter time why is your idle time so high? well I told you last 4 times I have been to the shop my generator is broke and I am not sitting in the freezing with no heat! why did you take 15 mins off you drive time? Well in Florida you can't sit on the side of the road so I had to park at a truck stop! Your over weight.... No #### I told you before I left where I was being loaded I was over weight but you tell me to drive on cause the load is time sensitive.....guess who paid the weight ticket? ME I would never recommend this company to anyone I drove their truck to their yard dropped it off told them they can have their job I'm not some newbie out of driving school I don't have to deal with their ####.....One of the men at the yard told me buddy you better make sure your truck is clean cause they charge you 300$ if its not.....after I quit I was waiting outside for my daughter to come get me safety man tried to take me to dinner to get me back on hahaha year right!

There are times when a man has got to do what a man has got to do.You sir did what you had to do.
Here's hoping that they do not charge you the $300 and I have no doubts that you'll land back on your feet quickly.Probably already there which is why you quit.Baack and kickin chicken Thank this. -
Problem with these companies they have no over sight. The DOT over sees what every drive does. They need to do more over seeing of the companies who will try and sometimes succeed in getting drivers do things that they should not do.. And I bet if they looked hard at how some of the companies maintain their fleet I bet most of the trucks on the road today would be put OOS..

Yea I had no tproblem I went to the next day to another company and got a job I juse feel for the newbies that don't have that luxery and start off with TMC for .28 a mile! Beucase they are willing to hire out of driving school I have posted a couple of replies to newbies looking for adivce don't low ball yourself if a company is hiring at .28 a mile its not worth it get you a local job for a year or so until you get miles under your belt and go get a trucking job with a company that will treat you decent. I hope that my post helped someone if they were on the fence about working for the peices of ####!

A person cussing a company he worked for just makes himself look bad. A major, unused word here, is driver supervisor. Did you ever call him?

Wow, I never had any of these issues with them. If you were driving for 30 years and you agreed to take an overweight load despite what they told you then you should pay the ticket, anybody with 6 months behind the wheel knows that. I find your wheel time a little hard to believe, to be honest. Anyone with 30 years behind the wheel would know how to be diplomatic in solving their issues and not cussing and yelling, it's no wonder you got what you got, they were probably trying to make you quit so they didn't have to deal with your attitude anymore.
THIS is the reason they would rather hire rookies, it's not because they will take less pay, but because they don't have the "i've been driving for this many years and YOU OWE ME something attitude." I made around 60k/yr with them steadily on percentage, i averaged about .49CPM and don't think i ever pulled anything that paid me .28cpm. Unless they changed their mileage rate, i dunno if I've ever heard of anyone making .28CPM there...
Also, since when did lumpers start unloading skateboards? -

He said "lumber for their loads". Not sure why he would need to buy lumber for their loads, never heard of that so i assumed that he meant lumper.

I guess he didn't get any when he dropped his skateboard at the shop and picked up the other. Otherwise you would have thought he would have got his steel tarps too. Also he said something about his generator being broken...did TMC start putting APU's on their trucks now?
