I guess I'm just not as obsessed as you are about this matter. I tend to concentrate on what I need and what I am doing vs. what some unknown coworker needs and what he is doing. I'm sorry but I don't share your frustration on this point.

Like I said before...more loads for me, and that's fine with me.

Thats the TSA for you. Passports should be on the driver. TWIC should be on the company.

    railtruckdriver853 Thanks this.

I have been with TMC for a year now and do not have a TWIC or passport nor have I ever been told I have to get them. I do have haz mat and have pulled several haz mat loads (all roofing tar) and have been paid extra each time.

Having the PASSPORT and the TWIC card can / will be the difference of sitting waiting on a load or getting a load and GENERATING $ with many companies.

I don't see the big deal, when I worked as a Auto Mechanic I bought my own tools. 14k in Snap On. That was in the mid 80s. So the Dealership I worked for could make money and pay me. Even when I owned my own shop for a couple years I had so much overhead that I still couldn't make decent coin and compete with the bigger shops unless I dropped thousands on tools and equipment. Maybe this will put it in prospective for you guys who don't think you should pay for it yourself. I do understand what you guys say thou. Could you imagine if the Policeman had to buy his own Police Car and gear? We would have no Police....Hmm No Police I might be on to something here.

Some of the backwoods areas in Kentuckey they have to do that , the Mayberry / Barney Fife type of towns.

Ive hauled asphault based paint for the griffen pipes, class 3 flamable. 55 gal drums, 4 to a pallet, front to back on the trailer. That was a fun load to secure. Also i just have hazmat only, never anything said about pass card or twic to me except they would be good to have.
