just wondering your thoughts on both companies good or bad?? I'm in truck driving school and applied to allot of truck companies and these are the only two I have heard from and have pre-hired letters from both..I know pre-hire doesn't mean I actually have the job just yet. Roehl has already check all my background, work, history, mvr and has sent me to a local facility for their dot physical test and tmc is in the process of checking everything as far I know they called me today asking to fax them a copy of my schools dot long form which I'm going to do..so I'm just wondering if everything goes good for both and get hired by both which company should I go for? any and all advice is helpful and appreciated.

Both are good for newbies, Maverick has a good rep and pays more. Good luck

I started with Roehl, they will give you great training. Dont know much about TMC, but I've herd there training is top of the line, prob better home time. Thou with where you live you could get on one of the regional fleets or home time plus.

I would have to say with where you live, with TMC you would do very well!

I would have to say with where you live, with TMC you would do very well! Also with TMC you would be home every weekend pretty much. I dont see you not getting home on the weekends unless you wanted to stay out. The Chicagoland area is an awesome area to live with great paying freight!

Dont know about TMC. I worked for Roehl for about a year. Didn't work out for me because I live out west and wanted to do heavy haul. Have no complants about them. Out of the Gary, IN terminal you will run down to KY or TN and back up to WI alot. You could be home every week for a 34 if you wanted to.

I would vote for Roehl

Tmc is my vote

You're gonna team with TMC for 2 weeks after 3 weeks of training. You are DONE with Roehl after 3 weeks total. Roehl will run all 48, TMC prefers east of the Mississippi (I-35).

I think both are good choices. You are definitely in a good location. I know we (Maverick) are in that area a TON. I am in Chicago at least twice each week. I see both Roehl and TMC up there frequently.
