Well I was accepted to attend orientation for TMC. I hope I am making the right decision, I will be a rookie to flatbedding but not to trucking. I have read a lot of good and a lot of bad about TMC but that is any company. Some people are never happy unless you hand them a paycheck while they sit on the couch.

    Marky84 Thanks this.

Good luck, I've heard more good than bad. The only ones I ever heard speak bad about it seemed lazy and complained about the work.

Your location and exp will serve you well. TX dedicated fleet will get you home every weekend and some nights during week considering the amount of DFW loads. You might get the occasional OK, CO, NM but you can hang out in TX for the most part if you tell them. I`m guessing you know though:biggrin_255:

They told me that there is no opening for the Texas regional right now but I know they have a lot of freight here. I see a lot of TMC trucks parked in the North Fort Worth are on the weekends. It would be nice to stay in the south or southwest but I don't expect it.

Far as TMC, the closest terminal of theirs is Gaston SC (just south of Columbia).

As for other flatbed companies, CT Transport (ation?) is HQ'd 3-4 hours southeast of ATL, in Savannah. Don't know much about them though...but I have seen where they have a few focus and dedicated operations (one of those being at Natiinal Gypsum up in Baltimore).

Did not make it today. Had to put it off for a few weeks so I can get my vacation before I leave this job.
