I have read on here that TMC will send a driver home during the physical at orientation due to sleep apnea or suspected sleep apnea. Does anyone know how many days of CPAP use they want to see to avoid sending someone home? I am very interested in TMC but do not want to get sent home. I had a sleep study done on my own a few years ago (not employment related) and was given a CPAP but stopped using the it along the way. At my last DOT physical the doctor did not think it was a problem. However, I started using the machine again over the past month. Thanks.

I received an email from my recruiter, Dawn, 3 weeks ago. They require 90 days CPAP use.
Background: I went to training on Dec 5 2016, sent home the next morning. DoT said I fit the profile. Turns out I had a moderate case.

So with sleep apnea what are your options? -
I get treatment for it. Then it's the same as anyone else.
Some companies differ.
TMC requires you use the device for 90 days, then have an evaluation and if it's working, and CME gives you a DoT card, you're golden. As far as I've been told.
Roehl told me if my local CME approves a DoT card they'll accept it no matter what.
After talking to my CME they will give me a card if I'm within specs (use 70% of time, 4hr per night etc, and it's helping) after 30 days, card for 1 year.
I haven't spoken to others. I'm most likely going to hold out for TMC.

Would a sleep test I had done 5 years ago that found nothing effect your ability to be hired?
