    looks like i'm heading to TMC orientation in the next week or so. Question about AFTER orientation. the recruiter said we will be issued a rental car to drive home to meet with our trainer... it's a 18 hour drive from Des Moines to home... can you fly and will they give you a credit to cover airfare? it would be nice to spend at least 1 day at home before i go back out. any black and chrome drivers out there that can elaborate?

    Like BigJohn said, way back in 07 when I did TMC ornamentation a lot of drivers did that. They wanted to pay for a rental or bus from SoCal to Des Moines for me, but I took a flight and they paid me the bus rate back. They are reasonable about it, just make sure you ask the recruiter.
