Yeah, your right. The company I just worked for (who decided not to pay me...... so much for small time companies) dispatched me and I usually got there early. I was going from SoCal to Texas or the midwest. Sometimes to Northern Cal.

I'm moving to North Cackalacky, but I'm wondering if Linehaul would be worth my time if I go back to TMC.

I drive for LeFebvre & Sons and we haul concrete pipe out of Bonner Springs, KS and they sent us up to Valley, NE to help out on a big job going to DSM. We run all day cabs so Thur night we had our 2nd load on and knew we would not be able to unload that day. One of the guys had his wife call the Fairmont Hotel checking for space and most important "big truck" parking. Now we have no idea that this hotel is the "TMC Hilton". So, we get to the first light and turn left looking for some sort of parking lot that can take 4 loaded trucks. As we make that 2nd right we spot the TMC lot right next to the hotel. The girl at the front desk didn't know her butt from a hole in the ground but did finally call somebody and they said we could park there for the night.
Now we still don't know this is a TMC hotel, till we check in and see the TMC gift shop and everything we see is TMC.. Not a problem. Of course we asked about a place to eat and you guessed it, The Chrome and Grill or whatever it was called. I don't think we stepped on any grass though.:biggrin_2559: At the cook's recommendation we got the TMC burger, ####, it was like eating half a cow, but it was pretty good.
Anyway, thanks TMC for letting us park in your lot and stay in your hotel and get the TMC experience as an outsider. No, we are not switching to TMC, as I told one driver we talked to, I don't do tarps.
