Currently in the deciding factor with ROEHL and TMC. Like the hometime they both seem to offer, as well as the rides. Hows the flat freight holding for now? Keeping wheels moving or sittin and playin with anything handy? I'm going to be fresh out of the school, so I have a more limited opportunity to get my feet wet, so any advice from those who know would be helpful!
TMC VS. ROEHL? Any Info?

I am personally a huge fan of TMC. That's who I'll be going with when I go back out in about 5 years(once the kids are grown). I haven't heard a whole lot about Roehl, but I've done alot of research on TMC, and at least around here they are extremely busy.
-
Roehl has a good training program, and you'll get your truck in about 3-4 weeks after orientation. They also have a curtainside fleet if you don't like tarping. Roehl also pays you for empty miles, while TMC pays a portion of the load.
Can't say what flat freight is like, I pull a box. But I sure see a lot of flats out there. -
I went with TMC and they treated me right. Good securement training and the trainer I had was a good. I made good money every week I ran a full week, and ok money if I had a short week (Doc/dentist appts etc).
I ran in the linehaul division and got home every weekend except the first weekend in my own truck. I got home between Fri afternoon and early Sat morn. Left out Sun afternoon/evening unless I had a long run, then I would leave early enough on Sun to start the week right.
The only thing I know about Roehl is what I read on the message boards.
Hope this helps. -
What does the national van fleet of Roehl normally hail? Somewhere I heard they hail lots of paper. Is that true?

PERSONALLY ID GO WITH TMC MAN THEY GOT WAY NEWER EQUIPMENT ~AND NICER RIDES~BUT IF UR NOT INTO FLATBEDDING GO WITH ROEHL THEY GOT VANS UR CHOICE~
-
YEA 1 OTHER THING TO CONSIDER I HAVE HERD FROM A GOOD SORCE TMC IS HAVING A LITTLE FINANCIAL TROUBLE THOUGH~
-
The whole financial trouble issue and bankruptcy and such has been swirling around for awhile with TMC they are a very strong company I am not a driver or associated to TMC i just study them closly cause they are my first choice to drive for. A company wouldnt shell out 50.00 a week for the whole fleet to have those black Peterbilts cleaned up nice would they? i wouldnt think so-maybe Rawlco or one of the other TMC drivers could shed light on this, but im going to assume as numerous times in the past that is is just another rumor........ thats all

well the flat freight is better than the van freight less sitting from my exp~so if u like to work go with the skateboards ~thats my preference ~besides i herd alot of stuff on roehl about settin for 2 or 3 dayz waitin on loads ur choice bro but if it was me id go tmc all the way~
-
well as far as the rumor i haul 4 a company that brokers freight through annet holding which is tmc and its posted on my load board no loads from tmc period because of possible financial trouble so u take it how ya want it they owe the co im leased to close 1 million i hear ~so u decide
