That's great news. I go through there all the time. Most traffic runs near 70 anyway. I have no idea why it was ever less than 70 through there. There is one spot to be careful and that's merging traffic in any direction on/off I-81 at I-26. I strongly recommend slowing down there and keeping your head on a swivel. Basically no merge lane.

It was reduced to 55 for trucks and 65 for cars about 20 years ago. It was a Knox County thing intended to reduce emissions. They did the same up near Bristol before crossing into VA at the same time. Also Shelby County did too at around the 25 mile marker I think on 40 - it's been a long time since I've been over there near Memphis so can't remember the exact mm. It was stupid and routinely ignored by all trucks and cars most people just ran the usual 70mph. They only enforced it for the first year or so in Knox County. In Shelby County it remains a speed trap.
