It is a really uncertain market out there right now. I have returned to dfw so lots of companies, but I would like to let my psp cool off and not be too bad a job hopper. My resume used to be stellar, then life happened. For right now I think I just might be changing bads. It could be worse than Meh.

I did a short stint there and that was exactly my opinion some things to like and minor nuisance items. They couldn’t live up to the promise made by the terminal manager (Napoleon,OH.) it’s just another paycheck job. I wouldn’t tell someone to stay away but never fully believed the guys with real time there. You know the ones who tell you how many years they have been there and you just need to learn the system. There’s long time guys at every mega that can’t imagine a better life these people are deserving of your pity.

Yeah, forgot about that. I mainly go off of what I read about Abilene on @JohnBoy's thread although he started there 7 years ago when things might have been different.

Your in dallas ft worth now,
Ain't nothing stopping you from swinging
By poly in Grand Prairie and putting in
    A application now.

I tried to tell you before,
    You wouldn't listen then.
All your problems with these jobs,
We have none of them, because nobody talks
To the drivers. Even when you need them.
    We're completely on our own.

    Forget your psp/ DAC.
    If they call,take the job.
You won't go anywhere else afterwards anyway.
With the amount of time you stay out, you'll make
    A hundred grand easily.

There still sitting there, pumping out those
Trash bags by the ton everyday.
You can send me a private message if you
Want the best OTR job in the country.
It's 30 minutes from where you live now.

If not, good luck where your at.
I don't even bother telling drivers about this
Place anymore and how they operate and what we make.
    Nobody believes us anyway.

But you need some relief from the run of mill
    Trucking industry.
Took me 20 years and a friend hooking me up,
Too finally live easy and enjoy the job.

I have to agree with @Western flyer . You do not have to settle for MEH or mediocre, at life in general just as at work. Too many drivers do this thinking it's just the way the industry is.

And these companies take advantage of that. Based on the rules you say they have, working at TNI to me is akin to working at Trans-Am or some other totally depressing outfit. I thank God I've never worked for one of those outfits.

You have absolutely nothing to lose, by putting in an app at Poly, or FCC where I work. Enjoy your work, enjoy your life and be treated with the respect you deserve. You can transition without losing a pay check. You will not have to slip seat, buy def and all that other nonsense.

I enjoy your thread, and wish you the best.

I have some psp points that drop off in May, then there will be just the one thing on it. I think my chances will be better for a better offer if I wait.

This is assuming the pay stays ok. I had a talk with the dead body in dispatch and told him he needed to make sure I got that 12k mikes a month so I can get the measly $500 bonus. We shall see.

I am grateful for all guidance. And encouragement.
