That’s about the only way, if it were me, when I dropped the trailer I’d leave a little space between the trailer legs and the ground then deflate my bags to pull out, that way when you hook bag up you go under with deflated bags, then inflate once you’re hooked up and raise, that will raise the legs enough to take the pressure off and make it easy to pull the pins and push them up.

It’s been an extremely busy week so far for me....left the house Monday and went up to Warner robbins GA, headed over to Columbus ga after that, to a quarry I thought I had been to before.....umm nope, completely clueless all the while I was in there but I got some granite rock loaded either way.
Brought that down in to fl Monday night and delivered in jax on Tuesday, reloaded and headed to monroeville Alabama and unloaded some more rock(all in the same day), used up what time I had left to get up to hope hull al.
started my morning in hope hull, went the 30 minutes up to elmore and loaded, ran in to @NightWind along the way, brought that back in to jax this afternoon and emptied it, reloaded headed for anniston al and made it up as far as tifton ga tonight.
Hopefully everyone else is running ragged, it’d be nice to see this thread get active again.4mer trucker, motocross25, 650cat425 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Here’s what too busy to get a truck wash looks like.....pitiful

But seriously I’m glad you’re staying busy. Dude we are absolutely slammed. The people that run Independent Salt In Kanopolis KS usually use us to help them with wheat harvest. Well this time they wanted help with Milo. The guy I’m usually paired up with is out doing that. There were talks of me goin also but my boss didn’t wanna lose another driver in the city. We have just been pumping concrete plants with rock and sand. Yesterday they were gearing up for a big night pour and we had 18 trucks hauling rock into one plant. It was a zoo. Today I ran rock to a pop up batch plant in Topeka KS at the new Walmart dc. Made 4 rounds and on my way in my boss called asking if I could run up to New Market, MO and load haydite for St. Louis tomorrow. Sure can. PC was my friend today. Hopefully tomorrow will be a nice relaxing ride to St. Louis and back. We shall see. I’ll try to get more pics of the new rig.650cat425 Thanks this. -
Well all, Friday did not go as planned. The haydite was a breeze. We went to East St. Louis to get fertilizer and that’s where things took a tumble. There about 3 hours to get loaded for Helena, MO. Was asked by my boss if it was ok to unload Saturday I said sure. That afternoon the customer called back and said there had been a family emergency could I come up that night, they’d wait on me. Alright. Well I got there about 7, had to wait on them to set the auger up and shuffle some of their equipment around. Long story short I got home about 10 Friday night. But on the plus side I was assigned one of the brand new trailers I picked up recently. So everything I’m ridin on is 2021. @tndriver one of our road drivers trucks bit the dust when he was leaving out this morning. Tomorrow I’m on a mission to go get his trailer from the repair shop it’s at and dump it in Troy. You gonna be around?

@motocross25 thats a nice little set up you've got there, when I was assigned this anthem I thought there’s no way I’ll ever use all the room it has, I’m a neat freak and can’t stand clutter, but I’ve found a use for all the storage and like the fact that I can have a microwave in here, I’ve found it relaxing to end the day with dinner in the truck.
On another note, I like the time change, kind of fitting for this time of year, but when that sun goes down I hit the dang wall and become all but worthless. Maybe it’s getting older, but when the sun goes down I’m ready to call it a day.650cat425 and motocross25 Thank this. -
Well got my haydite off this morning. Called the other driver to come get his trailer. Turns out it wasn’t his truck that was out of service, it was him. He sounded terrible and said he went to the doctor and he has walking pneumonia. So I stopped and got him some Gatorade and some soup and crackers. Threw those at him and dropped my trailer and grabbed his 40 foot spread. Dumped the wheels in Troy and hauled it to St. Louis. I had never been there before and checked in at 2:55. They told me they close at 3, but since I was on the scale before then, that they had to load me. Great! It pays flat rate and they were in a hurry and didn’t care. Magged some iron on me and I popped up onto the scale 76k and they stamped it. Dump this in Coffeyville KS tomorrow and probably reload lime dust back to the city. We shall see. How’s everyone else doin? @tndriver if that wasn’t you I saw in Troy I guess it was another one of your company’s drivers. Sharp lookin trucks you guys have.
650cat425 Thanks this. -
Anyone else have a customer they go to where it’s a “thank god these people are cool or this place would really suck”? Coffeyville is that for me. Everyone there is so so nice and friendly and they don’t have a bunch of stupid rules no one cares about, and it’s a quick unload but my goodness does it suck dumping there. It’s really tight, you hafta blindside serpentine back around 2 corner and under a conveyor and then stop in front of their bins and dump in a leaning, rutted, pothole infested area. After that got lime dust back to KC. That stuff can suck just cuz it’s a coal chute unload into a pit and it’s just super dusty. But I found the right combo of coal chute openness and trailer tilt where I just bungeed the grain door open and let it rip. In and out in 1/2 an hour. Hope everyone else is well.

I have a place in mind, won’t name names, but it never fails I get there the night before and it’s typically an hour or more after they open that they ever call me in. The yard manager is super cool, I would actually consider him a friend, always has a pot of coffee ready and we’ll just sit in the break room and bs, that’s all good but dang brother time is money

Busy week this week, I’m tired, trucks tired, end of story....everyone enjoy the weekend.
