Bummer to hear, gettin' to be slim pickin's in here for posts, just me and the old @Arctic_fox and all I do is sight see around Florida anymore so nothing too exciting to report, although I am pre-loaded for GA on Monday, I'll have to pull out the atlas to re-acquaint myself with how to get there

 

Lucky you, today was a stone cold ##### and a half. Got a load of gypsum that was put on my bills as sand. Showed up and they plopped that wet crap in my bed. Wouldnt let me out of the truck either and by the time i realized what it was it was too late to reject it. Got to the reciver and it was hardned into a brick. Broke 2 shovels trying to loosen it up and finally had to get an excivator to break it up. Luckily the guy next door was doing demo and happily broke it up for $50 so i could get it off but ugh.

 

That sucks that it didn’t work out for ya. I know you’ll find something.

 

I hang around some but I typically just feed batch plants around here, but I can tell ya the pit’s at water treatment plants are pretty deep.

 

@Tall Mike I’m sorry to hear that. I may owe you an apology. I have heard they are hard to work for, but in my defense I know nothing about their road division only their local side. Perhaps I should have divulged what little I know, but I didn’t want to come off as disparaging because everyone’s experience is different. If you see one their local guys twice it’s a miracle, and even then it’s usually met with “I got applications at other places I’m just waiting.” So I dunno what really goes on there, but the turnover rate on their local side is high for sure. If it’s any consolation my new gig sucks. I been there 2 weeks and I hate every second of it. If I had something lined up today I’d tell them Monday their truck is in Kansas City. I’ve never disliked a job as much as this one. Oh well. On to bigger and hopefully better things for both of us. Best of luck!

Come on back @motocross25 i know after so many years of doing dump work it’d be hard to find myself happy in another line of work.

Sorry it's not working out. Review the end dump company in our other conversation. They may be worth a shot. I was gonna ask ya about where you're at but i figured , heck i hate doing reefer work where I'm at so i don't know how a change in companies doing the same would be any different.
