About 2,000 pounds, if they’re hustling they can have it unloaded in about an hour and fifteen minutes.

    RockinChair and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Great pic as always @Trashtrucker1707 I’m still doing my thing with trash transfers. My dispatcher was nice enough to check up on me the other day and asked if I was alright or getting burnt out on it. Nope I’m good. It pays hourly and there is no traffic, no cranky quarry loaders or scale house hags, and more importantly NO DOCKS! I just run around mid Kansas picking up trailers, listening to my podcasts and backing on the tipper.

I got my 1st paycheck and I made more in 4 days running the back country than I did in 5 when I took my van freight hiatus fighting traffic, wiggling into docks and hating life. They might hafta dynamite me out of this truck if they want me out.

I started with this company years ago as a trash hauler, hence the username. Been a while since I've done it, although I do get asked from time to time to travel out to the panhandle and help out, I respectfully decline though, not my cup of tea anymore.

Are they a better place to work than your last end dump gig?

Florida has a real spongy soil. I forget what they call it. Makes for lots of sink holes

I think so. They have their hands in all sorts of pies and haul a lot of stuff. And the truck I’m in now is more spec’d for end dumping. 18 speed manual that’s not choked down and has a Johnny bar. When you start doin off road stuff and dumping in fields and soft ground, an automatic is worse than useless. I did like the atmosphere and the friends I made at my old job, but money talks. Hell I started saving money first crack outta the barrel just by JK paying 100% of my health insurance.

Glad to hear it. The mrs cleared her dot physical today. So we're taking off in the morning running team again. Will stay here awhile to be loyal an repay their patience in working with us the way they have. I figure I'll start really digging an researching other job possibilities. Maybe I'll get lucky an find an end dump opportunity that will work for a team.

@motocross25 I saw what looked to be your twin running up 75 this afternoon out of Florida, that's the 2nd Williams truck I've seen down here in the past week or so. Tons of dumps heading north, I'm assuming fertilizer. You're pulling a tipper trailer on your landfill deal right, not your dump?

Yes sir I got on a transfer tipper trailer. My hydraulic line is safely tucked away and bungeed down to the cat walk. After this little stint I'm going to have to relearn how to dump again!
