Well found my new gig finally. Gonna pull a hopper bottom. Be home weekends if i want or stay out, my choice. Talked to Dennis there at JK. Was a real nice guy but wouldn't ever have anything for teams. The guy I'm going to work for said that he will be able to run us as a team whenever the mrs wants to come back to work. I'll post a pic of my new ride on the climate thread for ya to see. Gonna be in same company as @Trashtrucker1707 a driving a mack, just a different model.
to all end dump haulers...

Been staying busy hooked on to my frameless. Running shred to St. Louis and dragging fertilizer back. Monday I go to US Steel in Granite City IL. It looks like a nightmarish place to figure out where to go the first time, but I guess everywhere else I’ve been I was there for the first time at some point too.
Loaded up and grossing 48k paying on a flat rate thankfully.

Busy in KC still. Left out this morning for the salt mine only to be there for 3 hours because the salt hoist broke. Dumped that at a tanning place in KCMO and then reloaded plate and structure for Granite City IL. They going to watch the weather for me and I’m either gonna reload fert back to KC or feed out of east St. Louis for somewhere in Oklahoma.
It doesn’t look necessarily terrible from this pic but it is. This is a feed barn in Topeka. You dump and try not to hit the ceiling, then pull up enough to clear the pile but not too much as to hit the overhead door for your bed to come down. Then on the exit there’s a pole right in the middle of the door which makes it extra special.
Gettin ‘er fired up in the morning.
5’ plate and structure. I expect this to come out rather violently.
Here’s a Public Service Announcement for all you future end dumpers. Get a good sturdy pair of boots, and watch where you step. It’ll take a while to get your “sea legs” walking over scrap to get your bows swung back, but in no time you’ll be gliding over it like a mountain goat.

I don't miss scrap for anything, I avoid it like the plague. Quick story, loading stainless down in Sarasota a few years ago, late in the afternoon, the old wore out grapple was pissing out as much hydraulic fluid every swing, as it was putting material in the trailer. Fast forward to "time to tarp", I get up there and immediately notice the whole load is covered in fluid, by this time the operator is long gone and I'm literally stuck up there, absolutely petrified to try and make my way out of the trailer because I knew I was going to slip on the way out and fall to my demise. A few minutes of hollering later, they brought me some towels and I was able to clean my shoes off enough to get out of the trailer safely, needless to say this was one of the last scrap loads I hauled, and I'll say it again, I don't miss it for anything. Glad to see you're doing good @motocross25 stay safe out there.
