I would venture to say they would absolutely hire out of GA, and like @Trashtrucker1707 stated, your hometime options would probably be more frequent than Florida, but that’s purely an educated guess at best. When I ran the road this winter it seems like the main goal was to get me over to GA, and talking to the couple road drivers I do, that withstands year round. Tate, Talking Rock, Newnan, and Rockmart, GA are the places they’d send me to reload and it was always a swarm of JK trucks in and around there when I went. I’m sure there’s a bunch of others. We bring glass to Atlanta on the regular it sounds like, I did it a couple times just the few months I was on the road. If you’re interested I would absolutely call and get some details. I wish I would’ve came over a long time ago, it’s a great atmosphere.

I know you've been chomping at the bit to get her back for a long time. What did they wind up having to do to get her running again?

I honestly don’t know the full scope of the work other than towards the end of the 3 months mack approved new wiring harnesses for both the engine and the chassis. I can honestly say, I don’t know if the truck wasn’t right from the get go, I’ve had it since new, but it’s never ran like this before, it’s like an entirely new truck. Praying it holds together.

It's doing ok. Got the hood rattle fixed. It is a slow mover on big hills. Came out of Maryland this week on 70/68. 68 all the way to 79 an up into Pa back to 70. That was a long day. The Jakes work very well for downhill grades. I was impressed. Got the inside and the side boxes all cleaned up. It has been a lot easier to load legally than my previous trucks. I've loaded rock twice with this one an the last truck. I don't think that's easy in any situation with a hopper. But most of the other stuff I've done with it has worked out easier.

What did you do to fix the hood? I’ve got mine quiet, but it was a process. I noticed the 23’s we have went to a nylon sleeve, where as mine is metal on metal, much noisier out of the box.

I tightened the pin bolt. It actually pulled the two flanges together more. The sleeve an the pin were loose an the end grommet was not in the circle in the flange. It acted like each end was independent of the other end cuz when i turned the front side, the other end of the bolt didn't turn at all. When I cranked down the nut on the back side, the bolt head on the front didn't turn either.
