It was slow for us with the hopper for about 3 weeks. It's picked up some but the boss has been telling me for a month or so that he was expecting a really tough summer.

Well I was just toodling along today and got a call from dispatch a truck broke down and can I load grinding balls and go to Climax, CO? Why yes, yes I can. Loaded off my gauges and got 79,940 first crack outta the barrel. Sitting at the Flying Hook in Limon, CO then up into the mountains tomorrow.
65 mm grinding balls.kylefitzy, Rugerfan, Trashtrucker1707 and 2 others Thank this. -
Loaded some fertilizer today at what can only be described as a “dinosaur”, this ol’ raggedy place doesn’t get in much of a hurry, but the people are friendly so that’s a plus. This is my first time loading in this bay, super tight, 90 degree left turn to get in, literally not much more than a truck width wide, you have to be super careful to not knock off your tarp motor on these electric tarps. BTW, nice pic @motocross25 i thought they were potatoes at first glance

Good god @Trashtrucker1707 it looks like Moses built that facility. It seems like places like that that get the most trucks, as in, that’s all they do, have some of the worst setups. I got my taters as you call em off at the mine lol. Had to watch a safety video and all that crap. A lot of it pertained to if you start feeling woozy or lightheaded tell someone immediately. They asked me about 5 times if I was feeling alright. I guess the altitude gets to people. After that took a GORGEOUS ride down to Salida Colorado and loaded some 2” salt and pepper rock. Dispatch asked if I wanted to load for home, or load for Wichita then do salt to Denver and then load for home, I said yea I’ll do that. It’s a nice break from local work.

I thought potatoes too. Lol.
I am hauling feed products this week. -
@motocross25 to me it seems like anything in Colorado is worlds away, but I’m guessing for you it’s pretty “regional”? The company I work for used to bring something from Florida out to Denver, I know a guy turned over out there and that was the end of that. Too far from home for me, I’m no road warrior
motocross25 Thanks this. -
Not a bad view to wake up to out the back glass.
Even had time to get the ole girl washed in Salina on the way through.
