Welcome to the thread @Pacemaker334 whenever you get going you’ll hafta send a pic of your setup, I’m interested to see it. I love a cabover. Plus I’m all over Kansas I’ll keep an eye out for ya! @NightWind and @Trashtrucker1707 are correct a longer trailer would be more beneficial if you’re wanting to branch out you’ll be legal everywhere. And with a spread you can hit that 85,500 mark. But if you just plan on being local or in Kansas I get along with my 28’ full frame. It’s nimble and solid. I’ve dumped that thing many places I wouldn’t have thought of sticking a frameless in the air. In Kansas if you haul road aggregate there is no bridge law. That’s why you see so many short spread axles in Kansas. Ravens even markets them as “Kansas trailers”. Kunshek down in Pittsburg often sells some of their equipment too, it might be worth checking out. Best of luck!

Well folks it’s been a cold day, it’s been a long day, it’s been a Friday. And not a minute too soon. Everyone’s crying for salt so we bounced straight to the salt mine early this morning in the freezing rain to beat the rush. It’s always a good time leaving at 4 am when it’s 26 degrees and pouring rain
Loaded fast, came back to KCMO and parked it and got the truck plugged in. Packing a bag for next week we are pretty much dedicated to the salt mine at this point.
This is what happens when you don’t pay attention to the loader about pulling up when they’re busy. They don’t take pity on you. -

@Trashtrucker1707 thanks for the input! So by tub style, do you mean like a half round?

Here’s a picture of the truck. 1978 Peterbilt 352. It has a 3406B with a recent cat reman, and 13 speed eaton which I believe was also rebuilt same time as the engine. Pretty old, no real modern features, but I guess there’s fewer things to break that way haha. Im looking forward to getting it out on the road!
