That's gotta be gross an disgusting. I used to haul hides on containers. I think they were cow hides. I had the unfortunate pleasure of doing it in the summer when all the juices would leak out the back. Speaking of hides, I'm currently at a place that processes them. Gonna load meat bone meal here and head to South Carolina. I hear ya on the fuel treatment. I double treated for minus 15 last week.

That looks nasty. I've missed most of the major snow events this winter. I've just had to deal with what I consider extreme cold a couple times. The worst was minus 15 last week up in Iowa. Had a plant operator grab my metal crank handle bare handed. I personally thought he was nuttier than a fruit cake myself but he said he didn't have much feeling left in his hands anyway.

@Trashtrucker1707 Was good to see you. I yell at every truck from your company but you are the only one that replies.
Been busy. Was sick fort two weeks viral bronchitis kicked my butt. Took an extra week off to recover and do some work on the truck. Dealing with other crap too. Getting ready to sell my place and move to something more manageable and with a Coach/ Truck indoor shop with A/C! I am so sick of cutting grass and weed eatting that I'd ALMOST get married again ( NOT). I'll try to be more present on here. Miss yapping at ya'll! Be safe and happy trails

Sand out of KC to Oklahoma (this time no snow and ice), pig iron out of the port and now I sit in Tulsa waiting for the morning to dump this, then bounce up to to OK/KS line and get sand for Ottawa. How’s everyone else’s week starting out?

2:30 AM wake up call for me to start the week, had to take a heavy load to Sarasota. We’re permitted for 88K in Florida but no interstate travel, that turns a 2 hour trip in to about 4 if you don’t leave early enough. After I emptied out I headed south towards Fort Myers and grabbed shell, I’ll unload that in the AM then load rock in Jax to go out to central AL, then rock back to FL somewhere. Traffic is horrible down here again, was a nice little break the last few months but it’s back in full force.

I’ll try to keep this short and to the point, a lot of my long time customers I’m convinced use us because we get the job done. This is a regular shell customer of ours, super tiny property, some outside carrier dumped all Willy Nilly in the middle of the property causing me to have to get creative as to how I would get to where I need to be.

Either way, I made it work and the pics dont do it justice but this was a one and done kind of deal, there was no room to move around so where I ended up is actually where it needed to be. The guy is never there, we just dump and leave the ticket, but I got a kick out of him watching me on the camera and being impressed with the fact that I got it back there. I’m too old for some of these challenges, it’d be nice to get some easy customers as the years go by :) 8029205898009950642.png IMG_1566.jpeg IMG_1568.jpeg IMG_1567.jpeg

@Arctic_fox anything special I need to know about our pig iron customer in Eastland TX? My first time going to this facility. Can you park there overnight and what do you usually drag back up out of the area?

No overnight parking though i THINK you can park over infront of the rock quarry or up by the road. The loves or rest areas are better if you can find spots though and less then 20 mins away. The rest area has some decentish snacks in the machines too and is pretty nice.

As for anything special. Just go to the guard shack they will wave you into the scale then you go off to the right and back fully into a building. Swing your gate inside you wont have room to back in with it open or rather its so tight i wouldnt risk it personally. And when you dump get as far back as you can. There is not much room before you risk murdering the door with your trailer as it drops. Otherwise lots of room and a nice easy angle. Just park on the strip infront of the door and they will wave you in when they are ready. Dont be afraid to go poke your head in if it takes more then 30 mins though.

Oh and hard hat+vest they get majorly pissy if you forget.

Exactly the advice I was seeking. Thank you very much. I got plenty of time on it I load it tomorrow morning and it dumps Wednesday. I was thinking about going thru the brush since I have more time, I really dislike that whole Fort Worth/I-20 stretch to get out there.
