to all end dump haulers...

He hit hard enough it shoved my fully loaded trailer sideways and bent the roller plate for my door and the hinge latch pretty good. The door also looks a bit twerked. Hopefully it streightens out when i go to dump and all settles into the proper place and that i can also get that roller over the bent plate. If it does then most of the dents and bent latch can be beat out with a torch and hammer and is no biggie. If not ill be getting a door repair and that will be pricy luckily i wont be paying lol.

I wont know till tomorrow since there is product right up agaist said door atm and i dont want to open it in a parking lot for obvious reasons. But yea dude literally said he just wanted chicken at the mcdonalds. As for me i was sitting in my bunk eating dinner. Saw him coming and struggleing to get in and stop. So i was moving to the drivers seat to pull up enough he could get in when he hit me. Threw me on the #### floor almost.

Whats sad is i parked in this slot in specific because it has a truck length and a half infront of me and to either side as well. Super super easy back in. And this dude decided to drive BEHIND the trucks on the super narrow rear road and bonk me good. I mean hell look how much. Bloody room he had.



Just...why?

 

Unreal man. That really sucks .. some of these guys out here just need their ### beat a time or two and their brain would start magically working...

 

Whats sad is this is the 4th time ive been rear ended while parked in wide open super easy spots. Had another guy hit me at this same truckstop about 4 years back. Had another hit me up at shoemakers. Had a moron do the same as tonight but at a fuel island, and then tonight with this dude. Though tonights was really "special"

I mean FFS i have a full 45k of product in that trailer and he hit so hard he pushed it 5 feet to the left and shoved my truck forward a good 7 feet.

 

Rail spikes to Cedar Rapids. The loader where I got em from never loaded a trailer before and it showed, ALL the weight was in the nose and all the spikes were in the front 1/3 of my trailer. Luckily with some lifting I got the load to slide back where it was legal.

 

Welp, that can’t be good.

 

Ya'll all sound like you have been having a helluva week. Other than endless rain (no grass cutting or weed eater) Ziva and I have been working our butts off. After paying uncle sam way too much I have to work harder to save more to pay him more. A hamster on a wheel Gheesh. @Trashtrucker1707 Pikeville is where my sister bought land and my brother is looking at it. I am torn as I am so well established here and have things my way most of the time. Same house 32 yrs. I just don't know if I want to start over and the tender age of 67 in a new place. @Arctic_fox I was asleep in a truckstop in Effingham a spot with 5 miles of room and a guy drug my truck (I was bobtail) completely sideways. AND tried to run but back then other drivers looked out for each other and some guys stopped him. It SUCKS the lack of skills that are allowed to operate (not actually drive) trucks now days. AND AI is in a town near you just hauling freight. Imagine passing a driverless truck.

 

Summer has officially set in, mid to high 90’s all week, gross! Either way pretty busy this week, not as busy as the last few, took a trip down south and reloaded some shell, some asphalt out west and brought some high grade up to Anniston, @NightWind i caught site of you early Thursday morning coming out of Birmingham, I was on the phone so I couldn’t shout to you, so here’s a belated “hello”. Grabbed some granite to bring back down and reloaded sand to go south again on Monday. Hope everyone is well, very scary weather moving across the country these days, stay safe.

 

Very nice! And yea i still dont have an APU so this is goi g to be a "fun" week. That said been running sand around the ####cago area. Just delivered some and im down till my truck goes back into the shop monday to unbugger my injectors.

 

Left home Sunday afternoon. Loaded a load in Arkansas up to Illinois. Discovered a good place in Champaign to get wash an detail work done. Ran up to Michigan, then to the Hoosier. Grabbed a load outta Illinois out to Pa. Reloaded an am now in Davenport. Gotta deliver Monday an then get drive tires done. Stopped in Champaign last night an got my tanks an battery box done this morning.
