I don't know if anyone else does it, but I constantly build little ramps to back on to offset a poorly loaded load, or an uneven surface. The heck with waiting in someone to fix the problem, you've got to be a problem solver when you're toting these trailers around, my little ramp was the only thing from keeping me off of my side this morning in Anniston. Reloaded north of Birmingham sitting about an hour shy of ormond beach, then hopefully a preload and home at a decent hour for the weekend.
to all end dump haulers...

I do the exact same thing for an uneven surface on most loads but you’ve got to watch it, if your hauling something that doesn’t all slide back once the trailer is all the way up then when you pull forward off your man made mountain the trailer will shift and you’ll eat the seat a little bit.
Brother in law and I our on a dedicated run every day hauling one thing down and another back so our days are usually un eventful but every once in a while you’ll get some drama in there. The real adventure is end dump OTR where your unloading/loading somewhere different every day the stress level ran pretty high back then! I commend anyone who does that year round. It separates the men from the boys in my opinionblade and motocross25 Thank this. -
Well that’s a pretty nice comment to receive first thing in the morning hoping I can continue to cut the mustard.. However as I have stated before I’ve been blessed so far that most of the places I go are on good ground!! My only issue so far has been load freezing or just a really crappy load that won’t come out.. I will say that I was not impressed with the scrap wire l loaded in KCMO Wednesday, but hopefully it will be a easy unload this afternoon.. hope all have a wonderful weekend @Trashtrucker1707 if I was a hater I’d say I hope it rains this weekend!!! But I know the therapy of riding but the H-D doesn’t do off road but I’m hopeful spring will arrive soonNightWind and motocross25 Thank this.

@blade I guess the maiden voyage of the scooter is going to have to wait one more weekend, I just don't see it feasible this weekend with the need to be in Monroeville sunday evening to unload monday morning. Bike week was getting fired up this morning when I unloaded in Ormond, and @NCoal I too appreciate the compliment to us running end dumps OTR, it's a totally different aspect of trucking, and there's not a day that goes by that I don't have the upmost respect for the trailer as I stand it up in the air. Safe travels to everyone, and a good weekend.
motocross25 and blade Thank this. -
How could I get in contact with youNightWind Thanks this.

If you don’t get a response for a few days don’t feel ignored @NightWind has been busy working on a project and keeping that nice new trailer cleaned upNightWind Thanks this.

I also appreciate the kind words. That was my biggest reservation too going from local, feeding the concrete plants to getting myself in a different situation everyday. As @Trashtrucker1707 said it’s definitely interesting and I miss not the hours on end waiting at a meat plan from my reefer days.

OK I'm back sort of but just for a little while. Its been CRAZY around here. I'm glad everyone is still kicking. I'm going to try to get caught up with everyone today. Hope everyone is well and trailer trucking.
Happy Trailsblade Thanks this. -
He's moved the plant to Katy, TX next to Vantage. I'd say the liners/floors are going to hold up for a very long time of course it depends on what you haul and if you take care of it. Call Jimmy and talk to him.blade Thanks this.

It's not cold here! I already had to cut grass! Hope you didn't suck up the seat cover with the pucker effect. I hate it when that happens. Be safeblade Thanks this.
