Stop being like that, you're not the truck owner nor a collusion estimator, if you see a truck contact another, take action, don't sit on your hands.

    this is disturbing.......a "loud scraping".....

it was PLASTIC, NOT metal on metal.....

and further, did YOU SEE the bumper BEFORE that other driver made his turn.>??

did you get out and look as the other driver was making his turn?

or sitting on yer butt, inside yer truck?

can YOU prove the scrape was not there BEFORE the LOUD scraping?

since you DID NOT GET OUT AND LOOK, oh, look what i did there..G.O.A.L.

i think what you heard was maybe the tandems squeaking/creaking like so many do when making turns.

what i said above, unless SHE SAW the bumper BEFORE those "loud scrapings", which i find LOUD scraping noises to be impossible with PLASTIC rather than metal on metal, she could very well be putting that other driver's job in jeopardy.

Let the driver know and forward them the photos, he can make the decision to follow up.
A tree scrape or rock chips are standard operating wear and tear not another vehicle striking yours while legally parked.

Kyle G. and plankton Thank this.

I understand what you are saying. My not knowing either of the other companies is the thing. No way to know which of the 2 are nasty jackwagon companies ready to loose their stuff over the minutest scuff.
It was a scrape noise. Not a metal scrape but a scrape sound nonetheless.
I didn't leave any note when I headed to ALDI so they were gone when I got back. I guess ultimately that's the final answer.

Snailexpress, buddyd157 and Kyle G. Thank this.

And no. I don't usually inventory other people's trucks. I was indeed sitting inside my truck. Or maybe washing dishes and putting away laundry. Domestic stuff not out policing the drivers.
Didn't get out when I heard that. Partly because I thought he was parking not turning around and I didn't see any value in being underfoot. And partly because alot of guys get really emotional about this stuff and I don't need the drama. I'm almost 52 years old and until last winter I was a desk jockey. I'm in no way ready willing or able to engage in some Male pissing contest in a parking lot.

    you see?

it could have already been there.

the scrapping noise could have been from his mudflaps scrapping the ground.

in the end, you really did not know, and i think it was best you did not leave that note.

Well certainly the allied driver who I do believe based on his pause and glance did think himself responsible....is lucky not to have to talk to his safety team people. Unless thus is habit of running away rather than manning up....
And lets hope that the barr Nunn folks are nunn...the wiser. Or at least not being harrassed for something that they can't even explain let alone defend.

most moving van drivers are o/o's.

very few are company drivers, at least, this has been my experience.

i don't believe that Barr Nun will be any wiser.

as i say, that damage could have been there, and that driver even if he did hear any noises, could have just as easily seen where his mud flaps were scrapping the ground.

question, did YOU SEE that truck move, shake?????

Personally, I would have given the B-N driver the info and let him/her decide how they wanted to handle it. Like someone else said, maybe the scrap was already there, maybe it wasn't, but I know I'd hope someone would do the same for me in the same circumstance.

Hit & runs are real crappy, but with the current "your fired" environment over the smallest infraction(s) this is what we have now, too bad...

I'd be quite surprised if that scrape would move the whole cab

I appreciate your input. I think we've reached the end of useful conversation but thanks for your time.
