to get the endorsement or not?

    That is just it. If they would pay it fine. I used to haul hazmat in the 80's before the endorsement. Since the endorsement I have had it because it was a company requirement before they jacked the rate up. I don't think the driver should have to pay it. The company makes the extra bucks from it. I never seen it trickle down to me.

    My hazmat is valid for four years, just like my license, and when I need to renew it, it will only cost me $5 (the $94 was a one time fee).

    I had the endorsement long before the $130.00 charge. I won't pay it. A company wants me to have it that bad they will pay it or I won't pull it.

    Tanker endorsement (NO) No Tanker Line would hire you right out of school and no experience. Plenty of time for that. Also wasting your time on Haz/Mat as any company on a new hire will do background check and can't see the state giving you a endorsement without finger printing and a background check
