To go back to a stepdeck or not???

    Any flat is preferred over a stepdeck for those particular mills because of the way the material fits on the trailer.

    You can always go with the step and switch back if needed. The steps are harder to come by at Landstar then the flats are.

    Well come to find out the step I was offered was just another old steel one. So I said NO THANKS!!! Just keep me on the list for a new one.

    Yeah, I'm really trying to figure out a good niche lane. I've hooked up with an agent that has me going all over the country, which is not very great, but he is paying all my deadhead to the next loa he gets me. I just figure my fuel cost plus $50 and he pays it, so I can't complain too much, and the freight is all $3.00+ to the truck after LS cut. I just don't care for going all 48, but for the time being, it's a necessity as I have already been able to pay off a lot of bills with the last few runs :)
