    I did. They have an entire floor full of accountants and lawyers. Bet they know what they are doing.

    Why do you think so many trucking co's are being sued for misclassification?..its simple..it's illegal and so what if they have attys and accountants, it don't mean they aren't breaking the law

    They don't dodge paying taxes per se......they just make it seem like they are the ones driving. It's more like a way to prevent them from having to offer benefits and such. They still have tax liability, they just use the loopholes to have lower obligation

    You can't be an independent contractor if you dont own the equipment and paying all the expenses...

    They don't have pay any payroll tax and ss tax..the ic gets hit withbthe total amount...nor dontheybhave to provide workers compensation insurance either as the ic has to fund that too...so yes many do it to get other to pay their bills for them
