Lol.
You're a shoe-in, bud.
I'd hire you in a second.
Don't forget about us non-union guys when you have to start wearing a uniform everyday.207nomad Thanks this. -
DOT physical was done yesterday but I’m still anxiously waiting for the background to come back so I can officially give my notice and move on to the next chapter.
I disclosed everything and they didn’t have any problems with it, but I hate waiting...

Gave my notice today. I start with UPSF on the 27th. A new chapter begins!
Kennyworth67 and bottomdumpin Thank this. -
I have an app in with UPSF right now for an open position in SLC. So, How do you like it? From the last post date I see you've only been there a month(?) So, How's it going?

You’re always on the go, even if you start early, you’re late. Some of the other union members that have been there for 20+ years are crusty and treat you like a second class citizen. You get lost on a regular basis, you see some stops and wonder how the hell am I going to back a truck in there?
But, the pay and benefits are pretty good, overtime after 8 or 40 hours. And if your shop is extremely short staffed like the one here is, you get overtime every day. And, you will get in really good shape.
Am I going to stay here and make a career at UPSF? Don’t know. I have a contingency plan in place and if my family life can’t adapt to the UPSF schedule and way of life, then I might not be here too long. But that’s a story for another time.
So far it’s going pretty good.Kennyworth67, darthanubis, All-American82 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Good luck. And don't rush.
