hazmat is one of those things you can have and it will pay itself in one load a year and it will always give you an option to keep moving

About 30% of my loads are hazmat. The pay is generally only $50-$100 more for the load...and this is why some say it's not worth it,...but I've got a load and I'm moving on to another town.

If you want to haul hazmat be a professional. Appearance are everything...and neatness counts.
clean windows, mirrors, lights, license plate, dashboard, etc.

Paper work neat and orderly and stored properly.

Know what it is your hauling and what to do when things go wrong. You can be a big help to the first responders on the scene.

I've been in all 48 (and alot of canada) hauling hazmat tanker and yes we do get pulled over quit often. I now haul a significant amount of hazmat in my dry van. Same common sense rules apply..know what your doing and take care of your equipment and you will just make a lot of friends like I did.
