To idle or not idle while sitting in line to get loaded?

    BTW that was in the cummins manual and my cruise switches are set up so I turn on the cruise and bump set twice and I idle at 1200

    Wow, 1200 seems a bit high at least for my dd15. Typically on the highway, I try and keep the rpm's around 1400. Seems to be the sweet spot on these engines. When I idle I typically idle at around 700 to 900.

    Yeah, I looked at the manual again and under-engine operation it said 900 should be good if you have to idle that is.
