Who said anything about replacing every seat in the fleet. Superior will pay probably 4-5 times that amount to get a new driver in the door and trained. It would actually be a good investment provided the OP actually wants to stay in trucking.

No but I am going to have it checked out. Clearly something is not right.

Well for your information, not all the other drivers are fine with it. Do you work for Superior? I am assuming not so you would not know any of the drivers. I am not the only one with complaints about the truck and the way it rides. So take your Wow somewhere else.

It's Superiors equipment, not mine, so yeah they should buy it if they are shooting for driver retention. They went cheap as heck all the way around on these trucks so they need to be called out on it.

Maybe but it's one guys decision.

We had a safety meeting today and my TM stood up and told us our terminal made the company 1.5 million net last year.

If a driver came to him with a medical reason requiring a custom seat I think he would listen. We shall see what happens.

No disillusion here bud. I know how trucking is. I am not in fantasy land. If your going to be in the seat for 10-12 hours per day you might as well be comfortable. I am not the only one at the company griping about these trucks. There are only a handful of drivers from Superior on here so your not going to get the whole picture from just one driver.

Didn't I say don't come on here bashing me for asking for advice?

I do have a legit medical reason. My lower spine is fused. I would think that would qualify?

Unfortunately that is one of the things Superior skimped out on. Our fifth wheels are bolted down. The center of the king pin on the trailer falls about mid way between the drive axles when it is hooked to the fifth wheel. That seems to be where all the trucks are set at.

I would certainly make a case. I don't know what your relationship is with your TM but he has the power to spend money. It will cost more to replace you. Trucks are chosen and bought above his level. Certainly worth a civil conversation.

The shop can still move them forward or backward. They did that on my prostar shortly after I got it.

Other than the ride has the Mack been reliable.
