To all the people that have given kind and decent advice or suggestions, thank you. To the ones that just come in here and put in your worthless .02 cents, keep it to yourselves. I don't need to hear it.
To stay in trucking or not and if so what direction do I go?

If you have fused vertebrates I think you should call the doctor that did the work. They might have no choice but to fit the truck with a seat or you might go off on comp. Actually you'll probably go off on comp even with the new seat. Might as well have the Doc prescribe a Bose.
As for the seat helping the ride...I don't see it happening. I run mine on the floor because it's better than sending a shock up my spine when the seat bottoms out. I agree with the others that there is something else wrong.rubberducky68 Thanks this. -

Just like they hire new drivers, rather than give the current ones a little raise to keep them.
There is no longevity anymore. They don't want you to stay. A new driver will start at the bottom, with no benefits. They don't care what the cost of turnover is. -

Just for some clarification here, I went back and re-read my initial post. Some how this thread got side tracked onto a whole "getting the seat replaced would solve all my problems" kind of thing. I never said anything about that in my initial post. I never came on here demanding anything either. I was simply asking for advice how to handle the situation from drivers that have been doing this far longer than I have and have had experience with different makes and models of trucks.
What I did say was this: "I feel if I could get into a better riding truck, which Superior will not provide, and actually be able to run the speed limit, 70mph in most areas, maybe it would make driving a truck seem better."
Forget the speed limit part for a second because that will never happen at Superior. I would trade a smoother ride for speed at this point. Now, I am no expert on truck brands, the way the suspension is made, etc so I don't know if a different make of truck would make any difference or not. I can say though that the Pro Star I was in prior to this Mack never rode as bad as the Mack. The suspension I think is set up different somehow but I can't say for sure. The seat is definitely better in the Pro Star as it has a better cushion that actually comes out to the back of your knees and has far more give back and forth and up and down which absorbs/distributes shock better. I never had an issue with my back driving the Pro Star.
I will definitely be talking to the TM tomorrow about getting the suspension set-up checked out on this truck. Clearly something is not right. Either that or the Macks just ride rough.
